Veränderungen / Changes

Ich bin ein Gewohnheitstier, ich kann schlecht mit Veränderungen umgehen. Erst recht, wenn sie so massiv und vielfältig daherkommen wie in den letzten drei Wochen.

Aber jetzt muß die gute Nachricht raus.

(Ich mag Schafe und das Foto ist gestern entstanden, als unsere Schaffamilie auf dem Wäscheständer vor sich hin trocknete.)

Ich werde Oma: meine Tochter erwartet ein Baby, einen Jungen. Sie wird voraussichtlich Ende August Mutter.

Veränderungen wird es viele geben und wir haben in den letzten drei Wochen einen Marathon durch viele Behörden und Ämter durchlaufen und hoffentlich auch eine Wohnung für Mutter und Kind gefunden.

Der neue Untertitel meines Blogs wird also lauten: mein Leben als Oma. Ich freue mich.

Morgen nehme ich eine kleine Auszeit von Familie und fliege für 3 Tage geschäftlich nach Birmingham.

I am a creature of habit and cannot cope well with changes. Even more so when they appear so massively and multiplex as in the past three weeks.

But now is the right time for good news.

I'm going to be a grandmother: my daughter is expecting a baby boy and is going to be a mum presumably at the end of August.

There are going to be many changes and in the past three weeks we have run a marathon through various authorities and offices and hopefully now found an appartment for the young mother and child.

The new subtitle of my blog will be: my life as a granny. I'm happy.

Tomorrow I'm going to take a time-out from my family and will fly on a business trip to Birmingham for 3 days.
