Wieder waren wir Nordic Walken, trotz 1 Grad C. Zum ersten Mal habe ich runtastic mitlaufen lassen und so entstand das erste Foto.

We went Nordic Walking again this morning, despite 1 degree C. I had activated the runtastic app for the first time, hence the first photo. 

Schwimmen / Swimming

So leer war es heute auch: / It was empty like this today:

Dieses Bild habe ich 2009 aufgenommen, es zeigt das Freibad in Wellinghofen, keine 10 Min. von uns entfernt (mit dem Auto). Es hat 50 m Bahnen und ist von Mai bis Mitte August bis 20 Uhr geöffnet, danach bis Mitte September bis 19 Uhr.

Heute hatte ich einen Tag frei und es war zwar warm, aber sehr bewölkt. Ich habe die Zeit genutzt und bin schwimmen gefahren, schon das zweite Mal diese Woche.

Für mich hat Schwimmen etwas meditatives, erholsames. In der Sekunde, in der ich ins Wasser eintauche, bin ich glücklich. Der innere Schweinehund jault natürlich, dass es zu Hause auf dem Sofa so viel schöner ist, aber ich weiß es besser. Zum Glück.

Mein Mann war diese Woche kurz im Krankenhaus, ist aber wieder daheim und läßt es langsam angehen. Und ich merke wieder einmal: Krankenschwester spielen ist so gar nicht mein Ding.

I took this photograph in 2009, it shows the outdoor pool in Wellinghofen, less than 10 min. car drive away from our home. It is 50 m long and is open until 8 pm from May until mid August, and until 7 pm until mid of September.

I had a day off from work today and it was very warm but overcast. I grabbed the chance and went swimming, the second time this week.

For me, swimming is very meditative, relaxing. I'm happy the secong I'm diving into the water. Of course my lazy self keeps telling me that it is so much cozier on the couch but I know better. Fortunately.

My man has been in hospital this week, only for a short while and he is back home again, taking it easy. I'm sorry to say I'm a really terrible nurse.

EMINEM (wieder) und ein glücklicher Mann / EMINEM (again) and a happy man

Mein Mann ist glücklich. Wenn er schlafen kann, wenn er genug zu essen bekommt und wenn er sich ein neues technisches Gerät kauft. Wie z.B. diesen Fernseher. Während das Suchprogramm läuft, sitzt mein Mann rauchend auf dem Balkon und studiert die Bedienungsanleitung. Ich beschäftige mich heute Abend anderweitig.

Gestern nachmittag war ich beim Sport und war sehr neugierig auf die neue CD "Recovery" von Eminem. Seit Januar höre ich kaum noch Musik, aber auf diese Scheibe war ich sehr gespannt. Und sie hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Ich mag auch das Lied "Love the way you lie" mit Rihanna, aber noch mehr mag ich "Going through changes", "Not afraid" und "Talkin 2myself". So machen 45 Minuten auf dem Laufband Spaß.

Mir hat Eminem fast immer sehr gut gefallen, ich kann mit seinen Texten viel anfangen.

Ein weiteres Highlight beim Sport ist die Flimmerkiste, auf der ab und zu kleine breakdance-Filmchen laufen. Ich kann gar nicht genug von breakdancenden Tänzern bekommen.

My man is happy. Whenever he can sleep, whenever he gets enough food and whenever he buys himself a new gadget. Like for example this TV. You can see him in the background, smoking on the balcony and reading the manual, while he runs the search programme. I'm going to entertain myself tonight.

Yesterday afternoon I went to the fitness studio and I was very curious to hear the new CD "Recovery" by Eminem. Since January, I had hardly been listening to any kind of music but I was looking forward to this CD and was not disappointed. As much as I like the song "Love the way you lie" with Rihanna I like "Going through changes", "Not afraid" and Talkin 2myself" much more. I spent exciting 45 minutes on the treadmill.

I've always liked Eminem a lot, maybe because I can relate to some of his texts.

Another highlight at the studio are the TV sets where they show short breakdance films from time to time. I can't get enough of those breakdancing dancers.

Sukhothai

Es war mal wieder an der Zeit, zwei liebe ehemalige Arbeitskolleginnen zu sehen und so trafen wir uns beim Thailänder Sukhothai zum Essen und Quatschen. Das Essen war sehr gut und wir Damen gut gelaunt. Allerdings habe ich seit einer Woche keinen Sport mehr gemacht und da mir nichts mehr weh tut, gehts am Donnerstang wieder zurück an den Crosstrainer. Und morgen Abend zu Borrusia! DFB-Pokal Dortmund gegen Bremen. Zwei Mitarbeiter von einer Spedition aus Bremen kommen eigens zu diesem Anlaß und werden sich vorher bei uns in der Firma die Kettenproduktion anschauen. Daumen drücken für Dortmund.

It was time to see two nice former colleagues again so we met at the restaurant Sukhothai to enjoy some good food and talks. The food was delicious and the ladies in a good mood. However, I've had no exercise for a week and as I'm now free of pain it's time to get back to the crosstrainer on Thursday. It's Borussia football evening tomorrow! German football cup Dortmund vs. Bremen. Two colleagues from a forwarding agency in Bremen will be coming especially for this event and will have a look at our company's chain production beforehand. Fingers crossed for Dortmund.
