Maastricht

Der Tag in Maastricht war kurz und sehr schön. Der Weihnachtsmarkt war zwar noch nicht geöffnet, aber es gibt sehr viele schöne kleine Geschäfte und eine tolle Buchhandlung in der Kirche.

The day in Maastricht was short und very nice, although the Christmas had not opened yet. But there are many small and nice shops and a fantastic book shop in a church. 

Hier versteckt sich ein Café. / The cafe is hidden in the back. 

Und noch was: / One more thing:

Die Köpfe sind gehäkelt, die Mützen gestrickt. / The heads are crocheted, the hats knitted. 

Wol Wolle Wool

Letzten Mittwoch hatte ich einen Tag Urlaub und war mit einer Freundin in Maastricht. Es ist schon Gewohnheit, dass ich vor so einem Ausflug in eine andere Stadt schaue, ob es dort ein Wollgeschäft gibt. Und siehe da, auch Maastricht hat einen schönen Laden mit Garnen, die ich bisher noch nicht gekannt (oder gefühlt) hatte.

Last Wednesday I had a day off and went to Maastricht with a friend. It has become a habit to look whether there is a wool shop before I visit a new town. Maastricht has a beautiful wool shop with yarns I had not seen (or touched) before. 

     

Dieses weiche und extrem leichte Yak-Garn musste mit mir zurück nach Hause. / This soft und extremely light yak yarn had to come back home with me.
