Weihnachtsmarkt und St. Reinoldi / Christmas market and St. Reinoldi

Das Gebilde auf DHs Kopf gehört zur St. Reinoldi Kirche. Da wollen wir heute hinauf. Vorher stärken wir uns mit Glühwein.

The shape on top of DH's head belongs to the St. Reinoldi church. We want to go up there today and gather some strengh by drinking mulled wine before.

Unterwegs kommen wir an den Glocken und an einer Kammer vorbei, in der die Schlußsteine des Chors gelagert werden.

We pass these bells on the way to the top and go through a chamber where the keystones of the choir are stored.

Oben erwartet uns eine grandiose Aussicht (und mir fällt mal wieder auf, wie sehr ich das dunkle Gebäude hinter dem Weihnachtsbaum hasse).

We are rewarded with a fantastic view at the top (and as always I note how much I hate that dark building behind the Christmas tree).

Just in dem Moment, als wir wieder runtergehen wollen, versammelt sich die kleine Blaskapelle, die zur Weihnachtszeit auf dem Turm spielt.

The moment we want to go down again the small brass band has gathered inside, they always play on top of the roof during the Christmas time.

Wieder unten angekommen, gehen wir am bekanntesten Treffpunkt vorbei: an der Glocke.

Back down again, we pass the most famous meeting point: at the bell.

Der Weihnachtsmarkt von oben - hier hat sich auch mein Enkel versteckt :-)
