Heute habe ich neue Wolle bekommen: das Garn Bella von Debbie Bliss, ein wunderbar weiches Garn bestehend aus 85 % Baumwolle, 10 % Seide und 5 % Kaschmir.
Nachdem ich in den letzten Tagen hier wundersame Sachen über das "combined knitting" gelesen haben, wollte ich es heute an diesem neuen Garn und der Maschenprobe ausprobieren. Vorgeschlagen wird übrigens Nadelstärke 3,75 mm, 22 M x 30 R = 10 cm.

I received new wool today: the yarn Bella by Debbie Bliss, a wonderfully soft yarn consisting of 85 % cotton, 10 % silk and 5 % cashmere.
After having read here about the wondrous "combined knitting" I wanted to try it on this new yarn and its gauge. Suggested are 3,75 mm needles, 22 s x 30 r = 10 cm.
1 = Nadelstärke 4 mm
2 = Nadelstärke 3,5 mm
3 = 3,5 mm und combined knitting, d.h. Hinreihe rechts verschränkt, Rückreihe linke Maschen, aber Faden entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn um die Nadel gewickelt
Nummer 1 ist ganz klarer Verlierer, 4 mm kommt überhaupt nicht in Frage.
Nummer 2 gefällt mir ganz gut und ja, nun
Nummer 3 ist der Gewinner. Ein gleichmäßiges und sehr festes Maschenbild. Ich bin wirklich beeindruckt. Das bedeutet natürlich, dass dieser Pulli noch länger dauern wird als alle anderen, den die Rückreihen dauern entsprechend länger und erfordern Konzentration. Aber das Maschenbild spricht eine klare Sprache. Was meint ihr?

1 = needle size 4 mm
2 = needle size 3,5 mm
3 = 3,5 mm and combined knitting, meaning that the RS row is knitted with a twisted stitch and the WS row purl stitch but with counterclockwise yarn wrapping (sorry for the bad translation).
Number 1 is the loser here, 4 mm is out of the question.
Number 2 is much better but now to
Number 3 is the winner. An even and consistent knit, I am really impressed. Of course this means that this top will take much longer than anything else because the WS rows take much longer and require more concentration. But the even knit says it all. What do you think?

Übrigens komme ich bei 4 mm auf 21 Maschen, bei 3,5 mm normal gestrickt auf fast 22 Maschen und beim combined knitting auf etwas mehr als 22 Maschen.

By the way I get 21 stitches with 4 mm, nearly 22 stitches with the normally knitted 3,5 mm size and with combined knitting a little more than 22 stitches.
das sieht sehr schön aus, ich bin auch gerade dabei mich umzustellen weil alleine die Fadenhaltung viel angenehmer für die Handgelenke aussieht. Muß mich da nur noch ein wenig einlesen.
