Sonntag und Kuchen / Sunday and Cake

Hier ist er, der erste Pflaumenkuchen der Saison. Nein nein nein, es ist noch nicht Herbst! Der August hat ja glücklicherweise auch noch ein paar Tage.

(Vom Kuchen ist übrigens nichts mehr übrig: ein Nachbar kam kurz zu Besuch und bekam die ersten beiden Stücke. Von da an ging es schneller als wir dachten.)

This is it, the first plum cake of the season. Oh no, it's not yet autumn! Fortunately, August has still some days left.

(There's nothing left from the cake: a neighbour came to visit and got the first two pieces, from then on it went faster than we'd thought.)
