Nur zum Stricken? / For Knitting Only?

Letztes Jahr im Oktober war ich geschäftlich in der Nähe von Abingdon, WV, USA und damit auch ganz nah am Wollgeschäft A Likely Yarn. Eigentlich blieb ja nicht viel Zeit und trotzdem erbarmte sich unser amerikanischer Repräsentant meiner und wartete ""max. 30 Minuten" (so mein Chef) draußen, während ich ein nettes Wiedersehensgespräch anfing und mir die Neuigkeiten vorführen ließ. 

Unter anderem die unten abgebildete Tasche, ein Traum in Rot oder in Blau. Was soll ich sagen, mein Herz schmolz, das Gehirn schrie unkontrolliert "kaufen kaufen kaufen", aber beim Anblick des Preises mischte sich der (blöde) Verstand ein und sagte kurz und bündig "Stop". 

Ihr kennt das ja, wenn man im Wollgeschäft nur max. 30 Min. Zeit hat, dann ist der Stresspegel eh sehr hoch. Also rannte ich kurze Zeit später mit ein paar wunderschönen Wollknäueln raus, die Stricktasche aber blieb. 

Seitdem habe ich sie natürlich nie mehr vergessen und immer wieder nach ihr im Netz gefahndet. Bis zu dem Tag, an dem A Likely Yarn bei Facebook einen rasanten Preisnachlass verkündete und u.a. DIE Tasche abbildete. 

Viele Mails und Versandumwege und Wochen später wartete sie in Price, UT, auf mich, als ich letzte Woche dort war.

Last year in October I was on a business trip near Abingdon, WV, USA and hence very near to one of my favourite yarn shops A Likely Yarn. There wasn't much time but nevertheless our representative felt sorry for me and waited "max. 30 minutes" (dictated by my boss) in front of the yarn shop, while I happily chatted to the nice ladies and let them show me the latest wooly creations. 

Amongst others the below photographed bag, a dream in red alternatively in blue. What shall I say, my heart melted, my mind screamed "buy buy buy" but when I spotted the price my (stupid) brain interfered and simply said "stop". 

All of you will probably relate to the high stress level when you've got max. 30 minutes in a yarn shop. That resulted in my leaving the shop with some wonderful skeins of yarn but the bag was left behind. 

Of course I had never forgotten it since and kept searching the net for exactly this bag. Until the day A Likely Yarn announced a massive price drop on Facebook and showed a photo of THE bag amongst others. 

Many mails and shipping detours and weeks later it waited for me in Price, UT when I was there last week.
