Kürbissuppe / Pumpkin soup

Aus dem Hokkaido-Kürbis (siehe Bild weiter unten) habe ich heute die Suppe gemacht und wurde nach dem Rezept gefragt. Deswegen hier Anschauungsunterricht und mein Rezept von heute:

Kürbis schälen, etnkernen und das Fruchtfleisch in kleine Stücke schneiden. Zusammen mit zwei kleinen und in Stücke geschnittenen Kartoffeln kochen. Mit Brühe, Pfeffer und Salz, Curry und Ingwer würzen. Ich habe ein kleines frisches Stück Ingwer gerieben und mit in die Suppe getan. Nach ca. 20 Min. Garzeit alles pürieren und mit etwas Schmand abschmecken.

Man kann auch Zwiebeln und Möhren mitkochen, oder die fertige Suppe mit Kokosmilch statt Schmand abschmecken. Es gibt unglaublich viele Variationen. (Ich habe die Zwiebeln heute schlicht vergessen.) Als Inspiration kann ich die Seite http://www.chefkoch.de/ wärmstens empfehlen.

I've made the pumpkin soup from the Hokkaido pumpkin today (see photo further below) and was asked for the recipe. Hence the picture of the soup and my recipe of today:

Peel the pumpkin und cut into small pieces and cook together with two small potatos also cut in pieces. Season with broth, pepper and salt, curry and some ginger. I have grated a small piece of ginger and included that in the soup. Purée all together after approx. 20 min. cooking and include a little sour cream.

One can also include onions and carrots or some coconut milk instead of the sour cream. There are endless variations. (I simply forgot the onions today.) I can always recommend the website http://www.chefkoch.de/ for inspiration.
