Chodovar Bierbrauerei / Chodovar BrewerySeit gestern Abend bin ich wieder zu Hause. Die Rückreise war lang und anstrengend, aber mit schönen Pausen.
Zum einen haben wir kurz vor der Grenze ein schönes Restaurant entdeckt, zum anderen waren wir nach der Grenze in einem Werksverkauf von Dibbern-Porzellan (hierüber werde ich noch bloggen).

Das Restaurant gehört zu einer Familienbrauerei in Chodove Plane kurz vor Cheb (Eger) und ist Teil einer großen Anlage, die komplett restauriert wurde und heute eine Brauerei, ein Bier-Wellness-Land (!) und mehrere Restaurants beherbergt. Die fantastischen Details siehe hier.

I've arrived at home last night. The journey back was long and tiring but with nice breaks.

At first we found a nice restaurant near the border and then we went to the factory shop of Dibbern chinaware after having crossed the border (I'll soon blog about the factory shop).

The restaurant belongs to a family owned brewery in Chodove Plane near Cheb and is part of a large facility which has been completely restored and today consists of a brewery, a beer wellness land (!) and a couple of restaurants. See the fantastic details here.

Das Essen war für tschechische Verhältnisse teuer und ganz ausgezeichnet. Genossen haben wir es mit einem Glas Heidelbeer-Bier (hervorragend) und Mineralwasser aus einer nahen Quelle. Ganz in der Nähe sind die drei bekanntesten Heilbäder Tschechiens: Franzens, Marien- und Karlsbad.

The food was excellent and quite expensive for Czech standards. We enjoyed it together with a glass of blueberry beer (excellent) and mineral water from a nearby well. The three most famous baths/spas of the Czech Republic are very close: Frantiskovy & Marianske Lazne, Karlovy Vary.
To end a trip with a bit of venison is nothing short of triumphant. I'm not surprised with the highish prices you had to fork out, the upkeep of the entire estate reflects that!
AntwortenLöschenBellaphon, in comparison to the German prices for such a meal it was still cheap, I was thinking in Czech terms when I wrote about the higher prices. Furthermore, I tend to forget that everything is much more expensive near the border and in Prague.
AntwortenLöschenFor instance: our lunch at the outdoor pool in Sternberk cost CZK 65 - 80 (soup and main course), that's about EUR 3, drinks excluded (LOL). The above deer ragout cost approx. CZK 250, that's about EUR 10.
