Was wir abends essen / What we eat in the evenings

Das isst DH. / This is what DH eats.

Das esse ich - Weintrauben. / This is what I eat - grapes.

Wir haben bei uns in der Firma keine Kantine und kein Mittagessen-Angebot. Nur eine kleine Küche mit einer Mikrowelle, in der ich mir ab und zu kleine Reste von unseren Abendessen warm mache. Also kochen wir am späten Nachmittag/am frühen Abend, wenn wir von der Arbeit nach Hause kommen. Meistens teilen wir uns die Arbeit: mal bereitet DH vor und ich koche, mal andersrum und manchmal kocht DH alleine.

Oft haben wir auch überhaupt keine Lust zum Kochen und holen was von der Pizzeria, von der Pommesbude oder wir gehen einfach essen.

Heute haben wir gekocht und ca. 5 Minuten nach dem Essen fing DH mit der Suche nach Süssigkeiten an (wie immer!). Diese Tafel Schoki gehörte eigentlich meiner Tochter, die wird dann morgen ganz schön traurig sein. Aber keine Sorge, der schokofreie Zustand währt nicht lange, einer von den beiden kauft wieder neu ein.

In our company, we don't have a canteen and no lunches on offer. We have a small kitchenette with a microwave where I heat up some small portions of meals that we have cooked at home. That's why we cook in the late afternoons / early evenings, on our return from work. Most of the times we share the work: sometimes DH prepares and I cook, sometimes the other way round and sometimes DH does the cooking on his own.

More often we are not in the mood to cook and get some take away meals from the local pizza parlour, the chippy or we simply go out for a meal.

Today we have cooked and approx. 5 minutes after our meal DH began the search for sweets (as always!). This chocolate was my daughter's and look what's left of it. She won't have to cry for long because one of them goes out to buy some more sweet stuff very soon.
