Nach der Rückkehr aus unserem Weihnachtsurlaub habe ich noch schnell den zweiten Ärmel fertig gestrickt und das war's dann. Schluß. Aus. Pause. Ich kann nicht sagen, woran es lag. Wahrscheinlich an der Ur-Angst, bei der Ausarbeitung Fehler zu machen und dass mir dann die ganze Strickjacke nicht mehr gefallen würde.
Es ging sogar soweit, dass ich eine Probe einer Knopfleiste gestrickt und abgenäht hatte, denn es sollte wirklich so werden, wie in der Anleitung beschrieben. Probleme hatte ich allerdings bei den Knopflöchern, das habe ich dann mit Hilfe von Nightglow auf eher unkonventionelle Art und Weise gelöst.
Und gestern war es dann endlich soweit: ich nahm allen Mut zusammen und strickte und nähte drauf los. Große Probleme hatte ich beim Annähen der Ärmel, das ging mit Nähen gar nicht, ich habe die Innennähte zusammengehäkelt.
Heute Abend möchte ich noch den Halsausschnitt stricken und abnähen. Es wird alles gut!

On our return from the Christmas holidays I hurriedly finished the second sleeve and that was it. The end. Over. Break. I cannot say why. Possibly due to my über-fear of making mistakes in the finishing works and that I would no longer like my cardigan afterwards.
I even went as far as knitting a button hole band sample with a tubular bind off because I really wanted it to be as perfect as in the pattern. I had problems with the button holes but managed to find an unconventional solution with the help of my friend Nightglow.
Finally, I mustered all the courage I could and started knitting and sewing yesterday. There was another problem with sewing on the sleeve, I could not do it, I finally crocheted together the inner seams.
I would like to finish the collar tonight and bind off. Everything is going to be alright!
