Unser nächstes Ausflugsziel hieß Gordes, wo wir einen schönen Nachmittag verbracht haben.

Our next excursion led us to Gordes, where we have spent a nice afternoon.

Zu diesem Geschäft hätte ich gerne das passende Landhaus. / I would like to have a suitable country cottage for this shop.

Im Urlaub habe ich dieses Tuch fertig gestrickt. Es ist ein Geschenk an die Frau meines Arbeitskollegen, der mich in die USA begleitet hat. Er hatte das Ausstellungsstück bei A Likely Yarn in Abingdon kaufen wollen und war sehr enttäuscht, dass es nicht zu verkaufen war. Also habe ich zugesagt, es für seine Frau zu stricken. Es hat sich gelohnt, denn seine Freude war riesig, als ich ihm heute das fertige Tuch übergab.

I have finished knitting this shawl during our holidays. It is a present for the wife of my colleague, the one who had been to the US with me. He had intended to buy the displayed shawl at A Likely Yarn in Abingdon and was truly disappointed to learn that it was not for sale. I have promised him to knit one for his wife. It was well worth it because he was really impressed and happy when I gave him the finished shawl today.
